Alaska salmon processor Whittier Seafood and an affiliated group of companies have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with an Alaska state court.

Whittier Seafood owner Alexey Kozlov said in a declaration filed Aug. 19 that the companies were hurt by sanctions imposed against Russia in the wake of that country’s invasion of Ukraine…
